PlayRec Studios was born in 2009 from the union of two professionals passionate about music and audiovisual production: producer Júnior Mendes and maestro Julinho Teixeira. They were joined by Júnior's son, Cau Mendes, a sound engineer and technology specialist — a combination that brought together artistic experience, technical knowledge and a vision for the future.
The story began with the production of music CDs and DVDs, at a time when these formats were the main showcases for artists and cultural projects. With a focus on technical quality, creativity and innovation, PlayRec built its reputation by keeping pace with market changes and anticipating trends.
From the very beginning, the company was born with a different vision. While much of the market was moving toward ever-smaller setups — home studios — PlayRec bet on a large-scale operation.
The building that houses the studio was conceived from the outset for this purpose, bringing together recording rooms, technical areas, production support, impeccable acoustic treatment and all the infrastructure needed for highly complex professional projects.

Today, PlayRec Studios is an audiovisual production center ready to serve international artists and the biggest names in Brazilian music, as well as corporate events, conventions, training sessions, product launches, recordings and live broadcasts. Combining technology, creativity and a structure built to think big.
More than fifteen years later, PlayRec remains faithful to the idea that inspired its creation: investing in quality, innovation and infrastructure, when the easier path was to do the opposite.
